Mack A. Major

Managing Partner

Mack A. Major, III is a Founder and Managing Partner of Pier Capital Partners, a Private Debt, Equity, and Asset Management Firm, Major Investment Group, a commercial lender, and the General Manager of House Tur Investments, LLC, a single-family lender. These three companies are dedicated to the revitalization of quality real estate ventures and wealth building for emerging and mid-sized investors. Mack is a Development Partner and Co-Owner of the recently sold Ultimate Soccer Arenas located in Pontiac, MI, Co-Owner of Detroit based demolition company Gayanga and the development partner for the On The Grand condo development completed in 2005 in Lansing, MI. Mack is a sales and marketing

executive with global leadership experience along with an established track record of meeting or

exceeding targeted profitability and growth objectives by effectively managing customer

expectations. He is a creative and dynamic change agent with the proven ability to overcome

complex challenges and implement initiatives that simplify and improve standard processes. His

strong leadership, interpersonal and coaching skills build and develop highly focused teams and

deliver results.

Mack’s executive work history demonstrates how he moved his way up from sales and marketing

management positions all the up to running company divisions. At Capital Real Estate Professionals,

Co-founder, he led the Strategic Direction of the Company; at Stonebridge Real Estate Group, he held

the position of Sales and Acquisition Investment Manager; at Momentive Performance Materials he

was the Americas Global Sales and Market Development Key Account Manager and at Bayer Material

Science in Auburn Hills, MI, he led efforts as the Vice President of NAFTA Sales and Marketing. Mack

has multiple degrees: a Masters of Business Administration, Business & Economics West Virginia

University, Morgantown, WV, and Bachelor of Science Degree, Mechanical Engineering, Michigan

State University, East Lansing, MI.

Jody Dents

Managing Partner

Jody Dents is a Founder and Managing Partner of Pier Capital Partners, a Private Debt, Equity, and Asset Management Firm, and is presently the Founder of Onyx Enterprises L.L.C. and CEO of Onyx Capital Partners LLC. Mr. Dents's significant management experience includes the following: 1) Established a $1,000,000 dollar credit facility through a fund partner, with zero loan redemption requests or loan rejections, in 2018, 2) handled loan origination for single family rentals, new construction, and multifamily housing

property portfolios, which have increased over $15 million to date, and 3) successfully originated

and brokered loans through the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, without incurring any loan losses.

Jody has developed and maintained strong broker relationships across key markets. He has

nurtured and cultivated investor loyalty and retention. In addition to fund management experience, Jody was a top agent for U.S. Preferred Realty and closed over $15 million in real estate transactions, in one year, in the State of Arizona, while working as a licensed realtor. His previous experience also includes operating as an International Realtor, for a developer, in Costa Rica. Mr. Dents worked as a project manager in several subdivisions, for Shea Homes, in the Phoenix Metro area. He holds a MBA degree in Project Management, from Keller Graduate School, and a B.S degree  in Construction Management, with a minor in Business Finance, from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Dents is currently licensed as a mortgage loan originator (NMLS 1801048; AZ MLO 0950789) and a licensed realtor (ADRE SA543145000).

Ricardo L. Ferrer

Managing Partner

Ricardo Ferrer is a Founder and Managing Partner of Pier Capital Partners, a Private Debt, Equity, and Asset Management Firm. He has an extensive financial and real estate background. Graduating from UCF in 2002, with B.S. degrees in Finance and Economics, post the 9/11 tragedy, he entered the real estate market

as a residential appraiser trainee. During his apprenticeship, he performed over 300 appraisals and rent

schedules for Conventional, FHA, and VA transactions. In 2004, he obtained his General Securities

License (S7), Registered Investment Advisor License (S66), and Florida Life, Health, and Variable Annuities

License (2-15). He moved to West Palm Beach to work for AIG/Valic, as a retirement planning specialist, for

the Palm Beach County Schools (403b), Police Department (457), and Health Care Institutions (401k), before being recruited by Merrill Lynch in 2006.

 

Soon after joining Merrill Lynch, he became a Chartered Retirement Planning Councelor (CRPC®)

and specialized in business financial advisory. While at Merrill Lynch, he managed a book of business in excess of $45 million and helped clients with Corporate Cash Management, Lines of Credit, Corporate Retirement Plans, Mortgages, Investments Management, and ESOP business sales, until the financial collapse of 2008, when Merrill Lynch was sold to Bank of America. In 2009, he founded Escudo Capital, LLC and raised $3.5 million of seed capital for the acquisition, rehab, and rental/sale of residential real estate in central Florida.  Rico was able to return investors a total, compounded return of 80% over the 5 years he managed the seed capital.  Rico obtained his FL real estate license in 2012, and in 2014, joined Stonebridge Real Estate Group, one of the larger RE investment firms in Central Florida.  As an acquisitions manager, he oversaw the acquisition and sale of over $500 million of distressed real estate assets to investors.  Prior to the COVID pandemic, in 2019, he was offered a partnership within Stonebridge Real Estate Group. 

 

Rico obtained his MLO license and became the Principal of Stonebridge Capital Group, where he

originated over $20 million in hard money and fully amortized loans, for in-house, company clients, and outside investors’ acquisitions/refinances, nationwide. Stonebridge Real Estate Group closed its doors in 2020, due to COVID, but he has continued to acquire RE assets for his own investment portfolio, as well as continued to originate loans. Rico's financial background, compounded with his RE background and entrepreneurial spirit, make him an asset to any investor, from the valuation and acquisition, to the funding, rehab, and sale of the asset.

Steven Broussard

Operations Manager / Marketing Manager

Steven Broussard is a Wilmington College graduate who earned his degree in Psychology. After managing social media accounts for micro influencers, Steven ventured into digital media strategy. He has consulted with Cannabis companies, real estate management and advertising firms, helping them launch brand initiatives. In just two years, Steven has started his own marketing agency with the aspiration to help small brick and mortar businesses increase their market share and drive sustainable growth.
